This standard provides limits and measuring techniques for risk currents of electromedical apparatus as a function of frequency, the characteristics of the apparatus, and the nature of the intentional contact with the patient. The standard applies to line- and battery-powered apparatus and to apparatus used singly or with properly connected accessory equipment.
