The standard establishes a method for determining the dew point of hydrocarbons in natural gases that do not contain droplet suspensions of hydrocarbons and glycols. The essence of the method consists in measuring the temperature of the onset of condensation of hydrocarbons on the surface of a cooled metal mirror with a continuous flow over it of a previously dried analyte gas at a fixed pressure.
