The standard applies to single-layer shells, flat and convex bottoms of vessels and forged, forged-welded steel vessels, as well as single-layer vessels and devices made of steel sheets, operating at static loads under the action of internal overpressure of more than 10 to 100 MPa in chemical oil refining and other industries, and sets the standards and methods for calculating the strength of single-layer shells, flat and convex bottoms. The requirements of the standard are valid provided that the design temperature does not exceed the values at which the creep of materials is taken into account in strength calculations. In the absence of accurate temperature data, the standard is applicable at a design temperature not exceeding 380 ° C for carbon steel, 420 ° C for low-alloyed and medium-alloy steel, and 525 ° C for austenitic steel.
