This standard applies to welded joints made by fusion welding of products from metals and their alloys with a thickness of welded elements from 1 to 400 mm and establishes seven classes of welded joints according to the maximum allowable pore sizes, slag, tungsten and oxide inclusions detected by radiographic control. The standard does not apply to welded joints of products subordinated to the USSR GosATOMENERGONADZOR and USSR Gosgortechnadzor.
